Katherine Kjellström Elgin – $3,000
Ph.D. candidate in Public Affairs (Security Studies) at Princeton University.
Currently the Director for Strategic Education Initiative, Center for International Security Studies (June 2016 – present).
”Received the SWEA NJ Scholarship to help fund her dissertation project in Sweden during the fall semester of 2018, on the future of alliance and strategic partnerships between great powers, examination on Swedish military conscription policies, and research on future Sweden – NATO relations.”

Kay Healy – $2,000
MFA University of the Arts, 2008, Philadelphia, PA.
Currently working full time as an artist, previously Assistant Professor and Lecturer, Cedar Crest College, Allentown, PA (2014 – 2016).
”Received the SWEA NJ Scholarship to help fund her residency at KKV Grafik Studio in Malmö, Sweden, in July 2018, with the intent to interview refugees from Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan, and create a series of work based on their experiences, which will be on view at the American Swedish Heritage Museum in South Philadelphia.”
